Highlights:

The program started with the Naada Geethe, Kuvempu's Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate, followed by other patriotic songs including Dr. G.S Shivarudrappa's Bana Bayalaneritalli Nodunamma Bavuta, N.S.L Bhatta's Hoovaralali Moggina Sere, Markandapuram Srinivasa Rao's Jai Anni, and many more. The music was highly appreciated by the audience.

The jyoti of Rani Chennamma was inaugurated on this day at Bengaluru. The jyoti was later taken to various cities all over Karnataka.

Highlights:
Music lovers assembled in Veene Sheshanna Bhavana on that evening were treated to an hour's musical feast that celebrated the famous  compositions of  leading Kannada poets. N.S.L Bhatta's Jaya Jaya Kannada Rajeshwari and Haadu Hakkigale, Kuvempu's O Nanna Chetana, M.N Vyasa Rao's Shiva Sundara , Markandapuram Srinivasa Rao's Jai Anni, Dr. Dodda Range Gowda's Moodutta Ravi Rangu and many more were sung on this occasion.
